Remembering The Early Days
I was going through some records from our early antique business days and ran across this newspaper article about my wife's newly acquired Antique Shop in Pleasanton, California. She did a great job running the shop while I was still working at the University. But it didn't take me long to realize I was doing the wrong kind of work, so I resigned from the University to join Kathy full time in the Antique Business. And for the next twenty-six years we had a ride traveling and doing shows, flea markets, swap meets, and whatever else came along. We enjoyed it so much we felt lost if we had a week off from doing a show. Although the excitement isn't the same anymore (thirty-two years later) it still feels good to get back into doing some shows and swap meets again. I'll try to keep some posts going as time marches on. (Just click on the pictue for a larger view).

Playing Hooky Again From The Antique Business
It was too cold today to work with Antiques and Collectibles so I took the day off and went fishing. Turned out to be a great day as you can see; caught my limit of trout on Whiskeytown Lake. My little honey took the picture and had a great meal prepared for me after I cleaned the fish of course. Just click on the picture for a larger view.
Western Days at The Cottonwood Antique Fair
Here we are at the Cottonwood Antique Street Fair which was held first part of December. The theme was Western Days so I came dressed in my western outfit. Kathy wore her usual "good luck" wear. It was a good day and we would probably try it again next year. Just click on the pictures for a larger view.
